Capture, cook, restock.

Shelfcook starts from the shelf, not the recipe. The pantry persists, so the app knows when staples run low or food is about to expire.

Every feature, in detail

Household

Who are you cooking for?

Set a profile for each person at the table: the nine major allergens, vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-carb, keto, and a kid-friendly flag. Every dish is filtered for the whole household and portions scale with the servings stepper.

  • Families: weeknight dinners from what is in the fridge, with per-person diets and portions that scale.
  • Individuals: cook the cuisines you grew up with or want to learn, without a full shopping trip.
  • Sharing one pantry and one list across a household's phones arrives in a later release.

Allergen flags are best effort and say so on every recipe. Shelfcook makes no health claims.

A pantry-first recipe app. You log what is in your kitchen by photo, barcode, or typing, and Shelfcook suggests dishes from 30 cuisines that you can cook right now, scaled to your household, with a grocery list for whatever is missing.

Does Shelfcook keep photos of my kitchen?

No. Photos are resized and stripped of location data on your phone, sent once to build your pantry, processed, and not stored on our servers.

What does it cost?

One plan, called member: $7.99 a month or $39.99 a year, both with a 7-day free trial. Yearly works out to $3.33 a month. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store and Google Play show local pricing.

Is there a free version?
